A new hangar-sharing platform launched this month, matching aircraft owners with unused hangar space to pilots seeking covered storage.

The concept mirrors car-sharing apps: hangar tenants can list available space during periods they don’t need it, and pilots searching for short-term storage can book directly through the app.
How It Works
Hangar owners create listings specifying dimensions, door size, and availability windows. Pricing typically runs 40-60% of monthly rental rates on a prorated daily basis.
The platform handles payments and provides basic liability coverage. Pilots get confirmed reservations rather than informal arrangements that can fall through.
Early Adoption
Florida and Texas airports have seen the most activity so far. Snowbird pilots returning south find the service particularly useful for securing temporary space while awaiting permanent assignments.
Some airport managers have expressed concerns about subletting arrangements, but most hangar leases permit short-term sharing provided the tenant remains responsible for the space.
